The annual magazine “Suprabha” for the academic year 2024–25 of Upendra Pai Memorial College, Kunjibettu, was released at a function held in the college on 1 April
The magazine was unveiled by Mr. Umesh Acharya, noted poet and writer and General Manager of Sri Gayathri Credit Co-operative Society, Udupi. Addressing the students, he emphasized the importance of language and literature, stating that forgetting one’s language like forgetting one’s culture. He noted that creative writing emerges from sincere expression of emotions. He encouraged students to develop the habit of reading widely, as continuous reading gives ideas and inspires meaningful writing. The programme was presided over by Mrs. Prabha Kamath, Principal of the college. The introductory remarks and welcome address were delivered by Mr. Shashikant S. Shetty, Kannada Lecturer and Executive Editor of the magazine.
Mr. Raghavendra G. G., Lecturer in Commerce and member of the editorial board, coordinated the programme. Final year student Varsha Kamath introduced the chief guest, Bhagyashree proposed the vote of thanks, and Sannidhi Shetty compered the programme.
