STUDENT WELFARE ASSOCIATION

It involves recognizing, valuing and developing each student as a total and unique person in the context of society. The student welfare programme is the sum total of all of the policies, structures and activities which are planned and implemented by the college to promote student welfare with service motto. To facilitate the social leadership and personal well being to develop high moral values, women empowerment, sound life skills among the students. To promote the personal development of students also to teach, advice and counsel the students.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)- ‘not for me but for you’

Reflects essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of other person’s point of view. The NSS unit of this college recruits students who can give their talent and energy voluntarily with a view to developing their service mindedness to the community at large and to the poorer sections of community, in particular. Students admitted to the NSS will work under the direction of a member of staff and their work will mainly consist of physical labour. These activities not only give a sense of involvement and responsibility to the students but also teach them to get rid of their complexes. Camps conducted by our NSS unit have earned appreciation.

CAREER GUIDANCE & PLACEMENT CELL

This cell plays a crucial role in helping students secure their dream jobs. Provide valuable resources, training, and opportunities for students to improve their skills and knowledge and connect them with the right companies to kickstart their careers. The cell organizes on the campus and off the campus recruitment which helps the final year students in exploring placement opportunity.

ANTI RAGGING CELL

To prohibit any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student. To bring out any awareness among the students about the consequences of ragging. To keep a constant eye and vigilance over ragging so as to prevents its occurrence.

Human right protection cell

To foster a climate of understanding and mutual respect for the dignity and rights of each individual. To prevent, report and discourage discrimination and harassment by others. To uplift the universal responsibilities of human beings in the society such as ethnicity, nationality, religion or sex.

To ensure calm and peaceful atmosphere in the campus, to avoid physical confrontation among students, to conduct enquiries on report of indisciplinary activities among students, to initiate steps to reduce violence, confrontation in future.

LITERARY ASSOCIATION

Literary association is a platform for overall development; the aim is to develop multidimensional personality of the students. For that purpose the association organize, conduct many programmes- Experts Lecture, Elocution competition, Debate, Discussion, Seminar etc. to give stage confidence to the students. The association always encourage students to write and read. To evoke imagination in the students.

Fine Arts Association

Youth Red Cross

Youth Red Cross aims at inculcating the 7 fundamental principles of the Red Cross movement viz., Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality. The Youth Red Cross is organized with a view to develop and deploy student youth resource for working towards these principles.

DISHA- LADIES CLUB

Disha-Ladies club is mainly focused for the development of women’s rights and to get equal importance for women. To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender. The provision of opportunities and programs for female gender to be mentally and emotionally empowered. To conduct seminar, lecture, workshop to impart knowledge of opportunities and train the women. To inculcate entrepreneurial attitude among young girls, so that they can be ‘JOB GIVERS’ rather than ‘JOB TAKERS’.

Physical Education

The curriculum contains subjects like, history of physical education, human anatomy, sports management, recreation, teaching practice, yoga, health and wellness, practical subjects include sports like volleyball, cricket, football, Kabaddi, swimming, throw ball, ball badminton etc.

  • Students are free to play from 9 am to 9.50 am & 4.40 p.m to 6.00 p.m on all working days.
  • The Physical Director of the College nominates the captains of the various teams.
  • When representative teams are formed, players for the teams will be selected by the Physical Director from students who play regularly and attend coaching classes and intramural competitions.
  • When competitions are organized by the College only those who carry out the directions of the Physical Director and who are regular for practice, will be allowed to compete. Players whose records are excellent in the College will be permitted to participate in tournaments.
  • Students who receive games and sports materials should return them safely to the person who has issued them.
