The NSS Unit of the college inaugurated its activities for the academic year 2026–27 on 12 August 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra K., NSS Udupi District Nodal Officer, who
addressed the students and emphasized the importance of active participation in social service
activities. In his address, Dr. Rajendra K. encouraged students to make use of NSS as a platform to
develop their personality, leadership qualities, discipline, and sense of social responsibility. He also
stressed that service to society helps students understand the needs and challenges of the
community and become responsible citizens. Mrs . Raksha Shettigar, an alumna of the college
shared her personal experience as an NSS volunteer. She explained that her involvement in NSS
activities helped her gain confidence and develop the courage to actively participate in various
college and social activities. She encouraged the students to make the most of their NSS experience
and participate enthusiastically in all activities for their overall personality development
