The Annual Special Camp of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Upendra Pai Memorial College, Kunjibettu, Udupi, was inaugurated on March 6 at Sri Umamaheshwara Temple, Shivapadi, Manipal.Inaugurating the programme, Shri Mahesh Thakur, Administrative Moktesar of the temple, said that NSS provides a valuable platform for students to develop leadership qualities and understand the realities of society.
The programme was presided over by Principal Mrs. Prabha Kamath. Director Mrs. Asha Kumari. Shri S. Dinesh Prabhu, President of Shivapadi Sri Umamaheshwara Temple Development Trust, Shri Satish Patil, Owner of Vega Transport, Manipal, and Mrs. Gracy Renil, Headmistress of Krishnappa Samanta Memorial Higher Primary School, were present on the occasion and conveyed their best wishes.NSS Programme Officer Rajesh Kumar welcomed the gathering, Mr. Chandrashekar proposed the vote of thanks, and Mr. Shashikanth S. Shetty, Kannada Lecturer, compered the programme.
