An AIDS Awareness Programme was organized on 3 September 2026 with the objective of creating awareness among students about HIV/AIDS, its modes of transmission, and preventive measures.
Mr. Mahabalesh B. M., District Coordinator, District AIDS Control Programme, was the Chief Guest and resource person for the programme. He delivered an informative presentation using PowerPoint, explaining the various ways through which HIV/AIDS can be transmitted and highlighting the precautions and preventive measures necessary to protect oneself from the infection. His session provided the students with valuable information and helped dispel misconceptions surrounding HIV/AIDS.
A total of 150 students participated in the programme. Shreyank of I B.Com welcomed the gathering, while Suhana Banu served as the Master of Ceremony. Nishmitha of I B.Com proposed the vote of thanks.
At the conclusion of the programme, the Red Ribbon Club provided snacks to all the participating students. The programme was informative and successful in promoting awareness about HIV/AIDS and encouraging students to adopt responsible and preventive practices.
