The NSS Unit of the college, in association with Prajaapitha Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vidhyalaya,
Manipal, organized an awareness programme under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and the “10
Crore Drug Addiction-Free Oath Campaign” on 20 August 2026 at 3:00 p.m. The programme aimed
to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and to encourage
them to contribute towards building a healthy and drug-free society.
B. K. Sowrabha, Meditation Trainer from Brahma Kumaris, addressed the students on the ill effects
of drug addiction. Through a PowerPoint presentation, she explained the physical, mental,
emotional, and social consequences of substance abuse. She told the importance of self-discipline,
positive thinking, meditation, and healthy habits in preventing addiction and encouraged students to
make responsible choices in life. As part of the 10 Crore Drug Addiction-Free Oath Campaign, the
students took an oath to remain free from drug addiction and to spread awareness about the
dangers of substance abuse among their peers, families, and the community. A total of 80 students
of I BBA participated actively in the programme. The awareness session inspired students to adopt a
healthy lifestyle and become responsible citizens for a drug-free society.
