The Infosys Springboard – Maker Lab on Wheels visited the UPMC campus on 3 October 2026 to conduct an engaging technology workshop for students. Organized by the Manipal Skill Development Centre (MSDC) , the initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application by providing students with exposure to emerging technologies and industry-relevant skills. During the visit, students explored the state-of-the-art mobile STEM laboratory, equipped with advanced technology kits, high-performance laptops, high-speed internet connectivity, and 3D-printing facilities. The workshop offered valuable hands-on learning experiences, enabling participants to explore the fundamental concepts and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). Through interactive demonstrations and practical activities, students gained insights into the development and functioning of modern digital systems and their applications in the technology industry. The programme fostered curiosity, encouraged innovation, and strengthened students’ practical understanding of emerging technologies, contributing to their technical competence and readiness for future career opportunities.
